The City of Prairie Village remodeled and expanded their Aquatic Facility in 2000. They contracted Carrothers Construction Company to complete their improvements. Carrothers installed a stainless steel hydrotherapy spa. A leisure pool was constructed with a raindrop spray feature, zero entry play area and assorted spray features. The kiddie wading pool was an addition which included a zero entry, spray features, and interactive play features. A plunge pool with two open flume speed slides was added for the older patrons. Existing pool mechanical equipment was replaced and new equipment added for all pools. New concrete decking and shade structures were added throughout the facility to tie the newly expanded area in with the existing facility. This facility includes 4 pools with a total water surface area of 15,600 feet. Carrothers is very proud to have built this project.
