The building has an overall floor plan dimension of about 180 by 230 feet. The swimming pool varies in depth from 4 to 13 feet and has 12,960 square feet of water surface. The pool is the only pool in the Midwest meeting the criteria for officially sanctioned competition events set by the NCAA, NAIA, USA Swimming and FINA. A unique feature of the pool is a movable stainless steel bulkhead allowing variable lane lengths.
City of Clive Iowa The city of Clive, Iowa decided to build a new Aquatic Center for the benefit of their citizens. We teamed with Larson & Larson Construction of Des Moines, Iowa and created a joint venture company "Construction Ventures I". The joint venture approach gave us the advantage of having a local general contractor to handle the site work and building package components of the project. This allowed us the opportunity to focus on the pool building and mechanical aspects of the project on which we excel. The new Outdoor Aquatic facility includes one shallow pool having a water surface area of 6,270 square feet, one lap pool having a water surface area 4,060 square feet including diving area and plunge area, and one lazy river having a water surface area of 5,700 square feet. Pool features include one-meter springboard, water slides, water spray features, sunshades, benches, themed concrete play features and other related items. Building structures include a 5,097 Square foot bathhouse/Concessions/Office/Admissions building, a 2,805 square feet Filter building, and a 1,944 square feet special Events building. Site paving improvements include a 195-stall concrete parking lot, access drives, sidewalks, decks, and mowing strips.

Meadowbrook Golf & Country Club, ENGINEER: Waters Edge Aquatic Carrothers Construction met with the pool committee of the Meadowbrook Golf & Country club in November of 2001 to discuss their need to replace their 30 year old pool. Due to the short period of time before the 2002 swimming season, a design build contract was negotiated for removal of the existing pool and for the design & construction of a new pool. The design of the new pool was completed in December and construction of a 5,718 sf pool with over 10,000 sf of concrete pool deck was started in January 2002. The new pool with associated water play features, zero depth entry, new water recirculation and filtering systems were completed and ready for a May 27, 2002 grand opening.
